English Translation

Come (यॖवान) to me, my estranged (रोशे) love (मदॖनो)

or else (नतॖ) I will lose my mind (होशे डल्लॉयो)

My beautiful gazelle (हरनि) eyes (चॅशमन) are crying (रिवान)

And the soorma (eye-liner) (सॊरमॖ) is washing off (छल्लॉयो)

Come (यॖवान) to me, my estranged (रोशे) love (मदॖनो)

or else (नतॖ) I will lose my mind (होशे डल्लॉयो)

My love (अशकॖनि) sickness (दादि) is setting me on fire (ह्योतॖनम नार पानस)

And I am turning into (मॆ गॊव) ash (खाक)

I am dissolving (गल्लॉयो) in my own tears (अशके)

As (ज़नॖ) sugar crystals (नाबदॖ) dissolve in water (आबॖ)

Come (यॖवान) to me, my estranged (रोशे) love (मदॖनो)

or else (नतॖ) I will lose my mind (होशे डल्लॉयो)

English Translation

My love, you stole (न्यूथम च़ूरि) my heart (दिल) away

I was chaste and pure (मॅसतूरि)

Your love made (कॊरथम) this fairy sinful (हूरि कसूर)

If you don't come, I'll apply ashes (सूर मल्लय) to my body (बदॉनस)

(A practice followed by yogis that leave wordly

attachments and roam in search of the divine)

and go (च़ल्लॉयो) far (दूरॖ) away

I will bloom (नेरॖ फटिथ) like a rosebud (गॊनचॖ)

I will come free (फेरॖ ) like a bud (गिल) that breaks through a veil (परदॖ च़ॅटिथ)

I am consumed and destroyed (खारॖ गॅछ़िथ) by your love

But I will bloom again (दोबारॖ फॊल्लॉयो) with your love

My beautiful gazelle (हरनि) eyes (चॅशमन) are crying (रिवान)

And the surma (eye-liner) (सॊरमॖ) is washing off (छल्लॉयो)

Come (यॖवान) to me, my estranged (रोशे) love (मदॖनो)
